Huntsman's

Huntsman spiders aren't very aggressive. They are only aggressive if they are frightened. I have carried a Huntsman before on my arm. (I have changed the Huntsman photos, thanks Pop for these great pictures!)

Hi Jackson,
Nice picture of the spider. I must send you a couple I have. How did the spider feel on your arm? That is pretty brave!

Thanks for the great pictures Pop! The Huntsman felt very tickley. Dad thought it was really scary but he ended up putting it on his arm too!
Mum said that you always used to pick them up when she was a kid, so I thought it would be ok for me too.

Hello Jackson
I love your blog. You are very clever! I miss having you in my class to pronounce all the dinosaur names for me. Charlie has been doing her best! I was wondering if you knew, or could find out, how large a huntsman can grow? I've seen pretty big ones, which made me wonder, just how big they could get.
Thanks Jackson

Hi Mrs. Leversha,
very good question I had to look it up.
They can grow to about the size of an adults hand.

Hmmmm. I don't like the sound of that! However now that you have told me that, the ones that I thought were big, don't seem so big after all! I'll just remind myself of that next time a huntsman pops up unexpectedly.
Thanks Jackson.
