snapping turtle

Snapping turtles have a tongue that looks like a worm to attract fish into it's mouth. They have giant strong beaks. Snapping turtles are huge.

How interesting Jackson!
There was a strange looking turtle that Chris and I saw in Tokyo when visiting. The turtle was a reddish colour and had a pointy nose. Do you know what it is called?

Hi Liv,
I am not sure, but I think it sounds like it could be Hog nosed turtle? Although they are normally found in Australia and Papua New Guinea, we looked tham up on the internet and they said that a lot of them were exported to Japan for Pets! Maybe you could have a look at a picture and tell me whether it looked like them?
